For the love of nature
Vinoseal’s commitment to sustainability drives all parts of the glass production and delivery.
Keep it green
Glass is a substance made from natural materials only and it is one of the few materials that is 100% recyclable without loss of quality. Glass is the archetype of sustainable packaging and as such is usually the first choice for consumers who are environmentaly conscious.

Sustainable future
Did you know that glass, the main part of the Vinoseal closure, is infinitely recyclable without any loss in quality? It can be melted repeatedly and transformed into new Vinoseal closures or other glass products. Even the sealing ring is recyclable in the same way as low density polyethylene (used in juice and milk cartons). The result is fully recyclable closure.
How the Vinoseal recycling works
If you decide not to keep Vinoseal and continue using it, you can easily recycle it. We all know that a glass bottle goes to the recycle bin. You can do the same with Vinoseal.
1.
Once you decide to recycle the closure, simply separate the sealing ring from the glass part by hand.
2.
Throw the sealing ring in the recycle bin for plastic and the glass part in the recycle bin for glass.
3.
If you are unable or willing to separate the sealing ring from the glass part, throw it at least together with the empty bottle in the glass recycle bin. On a sorting line in a modern recycling plant, glass is crushed and other materials (sealing ring, label, capsules) are automatically separated.
4.
The remaining pieces of glass (cullet) are reused as part of the glass batch for melting and producing new glass products. Even Vinoseal.
Upcycling
The life cycle of a glass closure could be unlimited. Upcycling means turning a product into something useful and often beautiful, which can happen with a glass closure and a bottle. Water can be served in it in a bar, at home it can be used to store oil and other liquids. Not only is it good for the environment, it also creates memorable branding.

Responsible
sourcing
The glass closure is made from the best raw materials from local sources. At the same time, production takes place
in northern Bohemia. Mining of glass sand, glass melting and pressing takes place locally within 40 km from the company headquarters.
Water
Conservation
Vinoseal adheres to strict emission limits for pollutants set for water discharged into sewage systems. As an example, we have a closed cooling water loop that minimizes water consumption in our glass melting process.
Internal
Recyclation
99% of glass cullet from the Vinoseal production is used again for production of the closures.
Ecological
Production
At Vinoseal we use the most efficient electric glass melting. This method does not burden the immediate surroundings of the production plant with fumes, as there is a very little direct emission of combustion products and dust.
Quality first
One of the main objectives of the company is to provide customers with high-quality products and services. Every single glass closure passes 100% quality check four times during the production process and therefore Vinoseal is a guarantee of securely sealed beverage. In order to satisfy customers‘ existing and future product quality and safety requirements, we have established an Integrated Management System with the application of modern management principles and international standards ISO 9001 and ISO 22000.

Packaging and shipping
Even after the Vinoseal closure is produced, we continue to focus on efficient and low impact materials and procedures to deliver the closure to the customers.
%
The cardboard box in which closures are delivered is made of recycled material (68%) and is suitable for further recycling after use. The surface is made of primary fiber to ensure the packaging hygiene.
%
The trays, which hold the closures in place during transport, are made of PET three-layer foil. The inner layer, which represents 80% of the total blister thickness, is made of already recycled PET material. Both outer layers are made of virgin PET material and thus meet the specifications for food contact material. The entire tray is completely recyclable.
%
The pallets used for shipping the boxes with Vinoseal closures are 100% reusable.
Recycling
shipping trays
The efficient design of these trays allows them to be stacked one on another tightly wrapped in a sturdy package. After bottling, for smaller quantities you can throw them in the recycle bin for plastic or, for larger quantities, search for a PET recycling company.
